Food and Drink in Welwyn Hatfield
From good old fashioned pub food to fining dining to world cuisine, there's something to suit every taste in Welwyn Hatfield. A refurbished 17th Century Coach House this pub and restaurant is set in the charming village of Ayot Green. It serves french inspired cuisine and large outdoor seating area and an open fire, making it perfect in both winter and summer. It's situated on the Centenary Walk and makes the perfect stopping off point.
There are several great places to eat at Tewinbury Farm. The Granary Kitchen has a relaxed atmosphere and simple food cooked well with great quality ingredients. The breakfasts in particular are highly recommended.
You can also get an award winning afternoon tea in the Cowshed Restaurant (you will need to book in advance), the Cowshed also does a great evening meal using many ingredients grown on the farm.

Finally the Farm Yard is an outdoors venue that has live music and street food every Friday night, a great way to spend an evening in the summer.
If you're looking for something a bit more modern and urban this venue on Hydeway is a little off the beaten track but well worth the effort to find it. Serving modern street food including burgers, jerk chicken, loaded fries, milkshakes and more. There's often a DJ playing and this venue has a vibe you won't find elsewhere in town.
Located within the stunning grounds of Brocket Hall, Auberge Du Lac is the definition of fine dining. Holding two AA Rosettes this is possibly the finest restaurant in Welwyn Hatfield. They offer an A La Carte menu and a seven course tasting menu. If you're looking to spoil yourself there's no where better.
This Greene King pub is set in the picturesque village of Tewin. It benefits from an absolutely spectacular view across fields, making it perfect for a pint and some food on a summer day.
The White Hart was originally a coach house built in 1681 and you can still book a room here. The food here is fantastic and the restaurant has been awarded an AA Rosette so you know you're in for a treat. They also have a massive gin collection as well as a range of cask ales and wines.
The Don is probably the best Indian Restaurant in Welwyn Hatfield and has been nominated for several national awards.

They specialise in authentic Indian food and their chef has over 30 years experience. They serve all of the expected dishes as well as some that are a little more unusual such as pan fried shark!

The Wellington is a historic venue and they have a list of licensees dating all the way back to 1352! The Wellington holds an AA Rosette and does breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas and evening meals. While all of the food is amazing the real highlight is the fantastic wine list, with over 40 wines on the menu, featuring wines from the d'Arenberg Vineyard, one of the best vineyards in the world, this is definitely one for the wine lovers out there.
This Polish restaurant is tucked away in the corner of Market Place in Hatfield. This family restaurant serves up traditional home cooked style Polish food as well as a range of Polish alchohols.

If you've not tried Polish food before then the Family Platter is the perfect starting point providing a little bit of almost everything.
This Turkish restaurant is located on Parkway in Welwyn Garden City. It offers contemporary Turkish food at very good prices. The lunch menu in particular is great value.

As well as the restaurant downstairs there is a bar upstairs and it's a great evening destination as they often have entertainment laid on.

Saturdays and Sundays also see them offer a bottomless brunch, great value, but you may need a lie down after.
